A customized blend of Therapeutic and Stress Relief techniques so you can Unwind your body AND your mind! Specific muscle groups are targeted to release painful holding patterns while soothing connective strokes calm tense muscles and nerves.
Each session is personalized by prioritizing your pain relief goals, areas of focus, as well as pressure and Modality preferences. Modalities/techniques incorporated into your customized massage may include: Trigger Point Therapy, Injury Massage, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, among others.
Myofascial Therapy seeks to correct postural and functional imbalances of the body by freeing restrictions in the fascia.
Fascia is a seamless web of connective tissue that wraps every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel and organ, playing a crucial role in the support of the body’s structure. Tight and twisted fascia creates “holding patterns” that result in pain, poor posture and muscular dysfunction.
A Myofascial Therapy session is very different than a typical massage. Unlike most Massage modalities, the Therapist "calls for movement" which increases the effectiveness of the massage stroke.
Bring a pair of athletic shorts, tank top or sports bra for this Active Bodywork session.
During Session #1 therapist and client will work together to set a goal for the series, assess restrictive patterns in the body and make an individual bodywork plan.
Each 90 Minute Session builds upon the progress of the session before resulting in improved posture and functional movement.
For the most continuity between sessions and for longer lasting results, Structural Integration Sessions should be spaced 1-3 weeks apart.
Bring a pair of athletic shorts, tank top or sports bra for this Active Bodywork session.
A Trigger Point or “knot” is a highly irritable spot in a tight band of muscle fibers characterized by extreme tenderness, referred pain and diminished range of motion.
Trigger Point Therapy uses deep compression techniques and targeted stretching to release the trigger point -alleviating pain and restoring mobility.
Muscle Injury can occur as a result of a traumatic event (such as whiplash after a car accident) or develop through repetitive motions over time (such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.)
Injury massage protocols target the injured muscle group and apply friction strokes to each individual muscle fiber to restore blood flow to the muscle and tendons, break up adhesions and restore healthy range of motion.
Incorporating Massage with warm stones opens blood vessels increasing blood flow, softening muscle tissue and melting away stress!
I put quality over quantity and schedule extra time for every appointment so you never feel rushed or cheated. If you schedule a 60 minute massage you can expect to receive a 60 minute massage!
I know this session is all about YOU so I take the time to listen to your needs and preferences. I dedicate a few minutes before the start of each session to clarify your goals for that day.
